Vitus is the in-house brand of the online shop Chain Reaction Cycles.
A new frame will be release in July and will help the brand to emerge on the all mountain / enduro market.
First pictures coming from the brand are quite exciting. The bike appears modern with a strong design even if some areas reminds Canyon Spectral or Mondraker frames.. Nevertheless, there are worth examples to follow…
We do not have yet informations concerning the key figures of the geometry but we already know that the frame is ready for 275 and 29 inches wheels. The Vitus Escarpe will be based on a 135mn suspension travel (available in 275 and 29). The Vitus Sommet will operate 155mn of travel to match the trend of hard enduro (275 only)
The press release does not display informations concerning the suspension design. What we can say is that the low anchor of the damper is linked to an offset of the rear triangle, just above the pivot.
To conclude, some words of the brand manager Simon Cordner
He explains that 2015 is a big development for the brands MTB offering;
“We’ve seen continued growth of our MTB bikes over the last number of years and with the introduction of these three new suspension models our goal is to strengthen our position in the enduro market. We’ve already put them to good use during prototype testing –picking up two podiums in the GravityEnduro.ie series “
Official release of the new bikes is planned for July. We keep an eye on Chain Reaction Cycles media if others informations comes before the date.
