Commencal got an original stand at the Roc d’Azur exhibition show, made of carton. Definitively nature and ecologic engaged !
We made a stop on the stand in front of the hardtail called Ramones. Ramones is considered as a playbike, good for all practices and of course less expensive than full suspension bikes. The range of products of Commencal in 2013 sets 3 versions of Ramones, 2 in aluminium frame and the premium one in CRMO. Here, we talk about the version AL1, in the middle with a price around 1200€.
2013 Ramones becomes definitively a all mountain bike, with a solid 150mn RockShox Sektor fork and a crankset with two chainrings and bashguard. Geometry is engaged, with short stays and open steering angle. It’s the kind of bikes ready to ride on which riders can upgrade components in the time.
There is something well done on the bike. It looks really premium bike even if it keeps a tight budget. The Neon yellow color helps the frame to inspire confidence and the choice of commencal team to set dark components on the bike is a good idea. Basically a good idea because it hides some very basic components (especially on the drivetrain) that you’re not used to see on such range of mountainbikes.
Otherwise, it was pleasant to discover 20 inches bike for very lucky childrens…it really looks like the 26 & 29 inches bikes and that’s pretty cool !
