X-control is everlasting.. X-flow tried to take its place without success. 2015 welcomes a new evolution of the current X-control with a front carbon triangle. Carbon is essential on the competitive market of small trail bikes and Lapierre engages this direction for 2015.
Two models are in, the 527 and the 727.. 27 for 27.5 inches wheels – this is the way Lapierre informs customers of wheelsizes.
First of all, this X control offers a carbon front triangle associated to an alloy rear triangle. This is a choice made by many brands such as BTwin with the full suspension Rafal or Giant with the Anthem Advanced. The new Lapierre offers a Shimano XTR compatibility and some guide ready to welcome internal routing for adjustable seatpost routing.
On the middle of the bicycle, all the fans of X-control (almost 15 years of living) will recognize the FSP system, emblematic virtual pivot point system of Lapierre. 100mm of suspension are offered and associated with a 120mm front fork to offer a “trail” versatility.
On the design side of the 527 version, the finishing of the frame is great and colors choice are on the trend. Some of them recalls the new Giant Anthem Advanced SX – a direct competitor – but the black carbon basis offers more classicism and sobriety on the Lapierre
To conclude this vertical portfolio, you can watch below the 727 version – the most premium one with the last XTR drivetrain.
